ABVP to protest against corruption on March 4

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) declared that a demonstration will be conducted in front of Parliament House on March 4 in protest against spiralling corruption and other problems.

Thousands of youths from various parts of the country will reach Delhi. The Prime Minister will be asked to resign on moral grounds,'' the ABVP's ex-general secretary Vishnu Dutt Sharma told media here after conclusion of a 24-hour silent hunger strike.

The 2G spectrum scam, Commonwealth Games corruption, Adarsh Society scam and several such shameful cases had come to light, he pointed out while adding that the Centre had not taken stern measures.

Other demands include initiation of efforts to bring back black money deposited overseas, strict action against the corrupt, taking currency notes of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 denominations out of circulation and changing the electoral process.
